Top notch hunting tours
Having participated in more than 30 successful hunting tours (and landing more than 100 trophies) in the past 25 years with Scotsport, I highly recommend Jelling Jagtrejser & Scotsport. It is always a possibility to buy cheap hunting tours with smaller operators or private people, but it is not until you get there that you get a feel of the quality - which is all too often poor to say the least - and by then, it is too late! At Jelling Jagtrejser & Scotsport, you get a top notch experience from booking the tour, throughout the duration of the tour and even after you get back home. Everything works perfectly at all times, and the hunt itself is an unbelievably positive experience all on its own. To me, having primarily hunted buck and deer, I have hunted solely with highly professional stalkers at preserves that brim with the feel that the hunt policy is first and foremost to ensure high quality of game welfare, the hunt and not least the trophies. Likewise, the lodgings for the hunting guests are always very comfortable. In particular, I want to draw attention to Learney House - the old hunting lodge from 1740, situated in Royal Deeside, which is the most amazing place to be based for at hunting tour. There is no finer or more idyllic hunting lodge. It is not without reason that every year, I look forward to the traditional rut hunt for highland deer at Royal Deeside, which has been a fixed October tradition to me and my wife for number of years. Before long, we will once again enjoy the oestrus roars in the mountains, long climbs in the heather on the 'Roof of Scotland', cosy nights at Learney House, etc.

Father/son/men's trip
My father and I spent an amazing father/son/men's trip in Poland in August 2014. I spoke a lot with Kasper (Jelling Jagtrejser), before deciding on the right spot in Poland, based on our wishes. A few days later, I received an email from Kasper, in which he had found another place that matched what we had spoken of. It was an hours extra drive in Poland, but I was excited that my father and I did not just feel like it was "money" to him, but that something extra had been done to meet our wishes.

We lived at a stud farm for horses, with a hotel that catered to our every need. I am sure that despite the stalking, we gained a pound or two ;-)

As not just quantity, but also quality makes a good trip in our view, it was an excellent preserve. We heard the tale of the old castle and stud farm, and saw the ancient horse carriages. We were lucky with the wonderful weather, and in the middle of the day, we could enjoy the large park adjacent to the stud farm. The interpreter and our Polish hunters were extremely competent ... I certainly don't think, there is anything wrong with my eyesight, but they were masterful in spotting the animals :-). Both of us shot 5 bucks, rendering the last evening available to stalk boar, something my old man had not experienced yet ;-) We did this in spite of your Polish friends stating that it was too warm, and the boar would be hiding in the corn fields. However, we were in it for the experience not the number of animals.

We were in two towers approx. 100 meters apart enjoying the fine weather. I am filming a fox, and then I spot a beautiful buck 200 meters away ... It gets within 80 meters of the ladder!!! But as we are hunting boar and I want my father to get the best possible oppportunity to get one, I only "shoot" the deer with a camera. My Polish friend is baffled. Not seeing any boar was of course a shame, but I have often told my father, just what a "sacrifice" I made :-D

We warmly recommend Jelling Jagtrejser, and will without a doubt let Jelling Jagtrejser handle future hunting experiences for many years to come.
Kind regards Casper Nielsen

Red stag hunt in Scotland
Hi Kasper. Just wanted to tell you, we had a really good trip to Scotland, where everything went according to plan. We are really happy with the way our trip was arranged and it is definitely not the last time, we travel with you. As far as the hunt goes, it went splendidly and we all shot some beautiful deer. I got a particularly good highland deer, weighed yesterday at 4.2 kilos, which I am very pleased with :) Thank you for the trip.
